NANCY SINATRA

Nancy Sinatra is an American singer best known as the daughter of Frank Sinatra and for her 1966 hit single “These Boots Are Made for Walking.”Sinatra’s popularity and looks made her a favorite pinup for GIs during the Vietnam War. Nancy in turn supported the troops by performing for them overseas. By the mid-1970s, she slowed her musical activity and ceased acting to concentrate on being a wife and mother.

But she returned to the show business during the 1980s, as she noticed a cult following around her 1960’s image. In May 1995, at 54, Sinatra posed for Playboy magazine which caused some controversy. On the talk show circuit, she said her father was proud of the photos. In 2004 she collaborated with former Los Angeles neighbor Morrissey to record a version of his song “Let Me Kiss You” Nancy Sinatra remains an active artist and more popular than ever. Today she turns 81.
