GLADYS KNIGHT

Gladys Knight began performing at the age of 8 with her siblings. She continued singing with her group Gladys Knight & the Pips until the ‘80s. With numerous hit singles landing in Billboard charts, including the friendship anthem That’s What Friends Are For, Midnight Train to Georgia, and I Heard It Through The Grapevine, Knight was able to earn seven Grammy Awards. She was also named by Rolling Stones as among the 100 Greatest Singers of All Time.

The 76-year-old actress, who is also dubbed as the Empress of Soul, still maintained the degree of beauty she has during the peak of her career. In 2018, she said that she is into clean living. Knight emphasizes her physical fitness routine, playing tennis whenever she has the time, and even named Serena Williams as her idol. Knight also dedicated her time to her philanthropic works, setting aside some investment money to donate to children’s charities.
